Chronos was produced by shaving black indigo stone from India. The shape of thinly shaving complex curves is difficult to process when it is hard black mikage, and after receiving several point outs from craftsmen that it should be changed because it is easy to break, the drill of the diamond kiln broke and the stone broke. Failure was woven, so I tried again and finished it. I believe that it is possible in any way, by learning, by learning. When it comes to metal, I’ve made most of the steel materials, but the varied expressions of stone is full of potential in every way, and it’s a material I want to keep trying. By the way, the pedestals of the outdoor monuments are made of brown, white, grey, black shade stone, etc. and they are up to 4m in size, the rest are stone carvings to be placed on top.
クロノス はインド産漆黒の御影石を削って制作をしました。 複雑な曲線を薄く削る形状は、硬い黒御影の場合加工が困難で、職人さんから、割れやすいので変更すべきとの指摘を何度か受けたまま決行、ダイヤモンド刃のドリルが折れ、石も割れてしまいました。 失敗は織り込み済みだったので、再挑戦を繰り返し完成しました。 習うより慣れろで、どのような形でも可能だと考えています。 金属に関してはほとんどの鋼材で作ってきましたが、多彩な表情の石は全ての面において可能性に満ちていて、これからも試みたい素材です。 ちなみに野外モニュメントの台座はブラウン、白、グレイ、黒御影石などを使用していて、４mまでの大きさのがあります、後はその上に載せる石の彫刻です。 クロノス 黒御影石 成羽美術館 岡山
